Prototypes à base de FPGA : Synopsys acquiert DINI Group
Pour un montant non dévoilé, l’Américain Synopsys annonce l’acquisition de son compatriote Dini Group, un spécialiste californien des cartes et des solutions de prototypage à base de FPGA.
La croissance rapide des logiciels utilisés dans les applications automobiles, d’intelligence artificielle (IA), 5G et de calcul haute performance (HPC) crée un énorme défi en termes de validation matériel / logiciel pour les concepteurs de systèmes sur puce (SoC). Pour relever ce défi, les concepteurs de systèmes sur puce déploient des solutions de prototypage basées sur FPGA afin de permettre au développement logiciel de démarrer plus tôt et d’accélérer la vérification du matériel et la validation du système, justifie Synopsys pour expliquer ce rachat.
Synopsys has completed its acquisition of Dini Group, an established supplier of FPGA-based boards and solutions, headquartered in La Jolla, California. The terms of the deal, which are not material to Synopsys financials, are not being disclosed.
The rapid growth of software used in automotive, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications creates an enormous hardware/software validation challenge for system-on-chip (SoC) designers. To address this challenge, SoC designers are deploying FPGA-based prototyping solutions to enable software development to start earlier and accelerate hardware verification and system validation.
Dini Group’s FPGA-based solution further expands Synopsys’ leadership position in physical prototyping and extends their FPGA solutions into network applications and high frequency/low latency algorithmic trading.
